The annual inter collegiate techno cultural fest Equinox 2018 is one of the most astounding events of LMCST. It was held at Tagore Theatre, Trivandrum on 16th and 17th of March 2018. The fest was inaugurated by Smt. R Sreelekha IPS, DGP – Prisons and Correctional Services. Very Rev. Fr. Jose Viruppel, President, LMCES, Prof. P.M. Hormese, Director, Dr. V,Syam Prakash, Principal, Mr.Philip John, Secretary, LMCES and various other dignitaries graced the occasion. The theme for EQUINOX 2018 was “Empowering Divyang” – qualifying the ‘limb’ with divinity, instead of the term ‘Viklang’ which was used for persons with disability. The events on both days were wrapped up with ProShows. The music performance on 16th March by Mr. Niranj Suresh, Ms. Gowri Lekshmi and water drum performance by Sonu Sebastian and Ricky Brown attracted the audience. The DJ by Candice Redding on 17th March 2018 was exhilarating for the students.
It was a tight race with super talented students from colleges all over the state participating in various events like Voice of EQUINOX, Maschera, ABCD, Spot De Choreo, Octaves, Kill the Beat, Fascino and Dubsmash. All the cultural events gripped the audience with some knock-out performances. Students were also able to showcase their technical skills through various technical fests conducted by individual departments.
