Cultural Events – Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology Trivandrum

We annually conduct Equinox- a technical and cultural fest organised by the engineering students and Decerto: a flagship programme organised by the Department of Management Studies to enhance the potential and calibre of budding managers. These programmes are held in order to exhibit and showcase students talents and ability.

TECHNO CULTURAL EVENTS 2018

LMCST team got 1st prize in ABCD competition in the Inter College Fest organized by Marian College of Engineering.
LMCST team got 1st prize in Fashion show competition in the Inter College Fest organized by Heera College of Engineering & Technology, Dejavu 2018 and and IVANO fest 2018 by Mar Inanios College from 15th to 17th March 2018.
LMCST music band won second prize in unplugged (music) contest conducted as part of Cultural Fest SHILAAYANA 2K18 of Trinity College.
LMCST ABCD team secured second prize in Dejavu 2018 conducted by Heera College of Engineering & Technology, and in Crossroads 2018 by Mar Baselios College, Trivandrum.
LMCST Kill The Beat Team participated in Inter collegiate fest conducted by Mar Athanasius College, NIT Calicut, Sree Budha College and College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
LMCST Kill the beat team selected for Hip Hop International India Dance Championship 2018.
EQUINOX 2018 promotion event (website launch and revealing first look poster of EQUINOX 2018) was conducted along with promotion of the movie Queen on 10th Jan 18 at LMCST.
‘EQUINOX 2018’, the intercollegiate techno-cultural fest of LMCST was conducted on 16th and 17th of March 2018 at Tagore Theatre, TVM. The fest was inaugurated by Smt. R Sreelekha IPS. All the cultural events performed by the students gripped the audience.
Students of MCA have participated in DRISHTI’18–Techfest conducted by CET, Trivandrum.
Shaheer S.S and Nikhil Prakash of MCA have been the Level topper in Web Designing and Debugging respectively in DCOD 2.0 on 18th and 19th January, 2018 in DRISHTI’18–Techfest.
Students of MCA have participated in Debugging, Treasure Hunt and coding Competitions held as a part of Megabit-Techfest, conducted by MarBaselios Institute of Technology.
Anchal and Sikha.N secured first prize in Rubik’s Cube competition on 31st January 2018.
Elocution competition and Poster presentation were conducted at LMCST as part of National Science day was celebrated in association with Kerala State Science Technology and Environment on 27th February 2018 .
Anand S B and Jazir S of CSE participated in the Electronaire Quiz contest conducted as a part of Drishti’18, Techfest at CET on 20.01.18.
Jaivin Jacob and Roshan James of CSE participated in Computer gaming event at RIT, Pampady on 28.02.18.
Mr. Aravind P of EEE won first prize for the competitions “Persona”, “Selfie Contest” and “Dubsmash” conducted as part of the technical fest “ENIGNA 2k18” conducted by Sarabhai Institute of Science and Technology, Vellanadu on 15th February 2018.

Sreelekshmi Bhat of CSE won ?rst prize and Vaisakh Harikrishnababu of CE won the second prize in the Elocution competition (Theme: My vision – Corruption free India) conducted by LPSC- ISRO, Valiamala in connection with Vigilance Awareness week on 1st Nov 2017.
Students actively participated in Oath taking ceremony, poster presentation and quiz competition as part of the National energy conservation month celebrations at LMCST on 21st Nov 2017.
Ashish Joseph and Gokul P. Nair of CSE won ?rst prize in Quiz Competition conducted as part of Energy Conservation day celebrations on 21st Nov 2017 at LMCST.
Easwaran Namboodiri and Hrithik D Prasad of ME won second prize in Quiz Competition conducted as part of Energy Conservation day celebrations on 21st Nov 2017 at LMCST.
Abhijith B M and Anandu U of ME won the first prize in Poster Presentation contest conducted as part of Energy Conservation day celebrations on 21st Nov 2017 at LMCST.
Pooja Saravan and Sruthi S of CSE won the second prize in Poster Presentation contest conducted as part of Energy Conservation day celebrations on 21st Nov 2017 at LMCST.
Mangalam Channel programme ‘The Campus’ was shot in LMCST campus on 28th September 2017. Cultural programmes which include solo and group were performed by the students of LMCST. It was telecasted as two episodes on 1st October and 8th October 2017(3.30 pm).
LMCST Onam celebrations 2017 (AARPO- IRRO 2K17) by students were held on 30th August 2017. Students participated in various cultural activities and outdoor events.
LMCST Commemorated its Annual Mega Techno-Cultural Fest Equinox’17 on 3rd and 4th of March 2017 at Tagore Theatre Thiruvananthapuram.
Lekshmichithra R., Student of MBA won ‘ Best model’ (The Queen of YASYA) in the fashion show competition conducted as a part of YASYA 2K17- Inter-collegiate cultural fest organized by St.Thomas College of Science and Technology on 17th April 2017.
Vishnu Dattan and team has won 1st prize worth Rs. 35,000 in Fashion Show as a part of Ivano Fest on 14th March 2017. They also won 1 prize worth Rs. 30,000 in Fashion Show as a part of IMPULSE on 18th March 2017.

MCA students have actively participated in the event DCOD conducted on 17th and 18th March 2017 as part of DRISHTI’17-the technical fest of CET.
LMCST students participated as audience in the ‘Patturumal’ programme in Kairali TV channel on 23rd March2017.
MCA students have participated in the National Level Tech Fest ‘AZAKA 2K17’ conducted on 28th and 29th March 2017, organized by Department of Computer Applications of Marthoma Institute of IT , Chadayamangalam.
Libhin R S received prize for exhibiting his artistic talent in Website Design of Equinox 2017, an Inter Collegiate Techno Cultural Event of LMCST.

LMCST celebrated “Athena 2017” International Women’s Day on 8 March 2017.The students performed duet song and dance. The highlight of the celebration was a skit based on Women’s Rights. Collage and Elocution competitions were conducted in this regard with “Women Empowerment” as the theme.

Students of MCA participated in the Inter College Debate Competition Speak for India-Kerala Edition 2016 at Christian College, Kattakada on 29th September 2016, organized by Mathrubhumi and Federal Bank.

Mr. Visakh R S of MBA secured 1st prize in the event Spot Photography (DSLR) in ABHIVYAKTA 2016 organized by University Institute of Management, Thiruvananthapuram on 2nd December 2016.
Mr. Aravind G S and Mr. Visakh R S of MBA have secured 1st position in the event Rekstur in PRAGATI organized by Amritha School of Business, Coimbatore on 3rd December 2016.
Mr. Arun Ashok, Ms. Jenifer Aloscious, Ms. Aswayhy S Jayan and Ms. Meenu Marium Pathen of MBA secured 2nd prize in the event HR Game in AVENIR 2016 organized by Kerala Institute of Co-operative Management, Thiruvananthapuram held on 2nd and 3rd December 2016.

Attapookalam competition and Payasam competition commenced on 8th September 2016 in connection with Onam Celebration “Sravanotsavan” by students of LMCST.

Ms. Shruthi L. S. of ECE won 1st prize in RUN A MUCK in connection with Crossroads 2016 from 4th to 6th March at Mar Baselious College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Mr. Robin John, Mr. Adarsh C. P., Ms. Sheeja John and Mr. Gokul P. R. of EEE won first prize in Circuit Making competition conducted by ECE department, Mohandas college of Engineering from 13th, 14th and 15th July 2016.
LMCST team won 2nd prize in the fashion show in the inter-collegiate fest conducted by Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology.
Mr. Anish Alex Mathews of CSE won the debate competition on “Women Empowerment” as part of International Women’s day on 8.3.2016.
The inter collegiate techno cultural fest of LMCST – EQUINOX was conducted on 7th and 8th of April 2016 at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram. The cultural fest was inaugurated by film actor, Dyan Sreenivasan and the technical fest was inaugurated by Dr. S. Unnikrishnan Nair, Vice Principal, University College, Kariavattom.

TECHNOCULTURAL ACHIEVEMENTS 2014-2015

Heera College of Engineering and Technology conducted a National Robotics Championship Event “Technoxian” in connection with Two day workshop and Zonal level competition for the Engineering students on 26th and 27th September 2014. Four students participated and got qualified to participate in level 2 competition at IIT Delhi.

TECHNO CULTURAL EVENTS 2014

About 15 Students from our College represented LMCST team and participated in the technical event at Viswadeepthi School from 7th August 2014 to 8th August 2014 and they secured second runner up in the competition.
Jaihind TV program “COLLEGE DAYS” was shot in our College on 20th August 2014. In association with it, a technical exhibition was arranged in the PG hall at EC/ME block. Cultural activities were conducted at Open Air auditorium. 12 events were planned for the day. Students from various departments participated in the events. The event was shown in Jaihind TV on 23-08-2014(6PM) and 30-08-2014(6PM)
Onam celebrations(HASTHA 2K14) for students were celebrated on 4th September 2014 accompanied by events like Athapookalam competition, Uriyadi, Musical chair and Tug-of war.
