Course Outcomes
Department of Computer Applications was established in the year of 2005. The Department is committed to develop quality IT professionals by providing concept oriented subject knowledge through high quality teaching supplemented with practical knowledge and skills. Here, you will learn to analyse and solve problems, and to think both creatively and technically.
Currently the Department is offering 2 year MCA Degree programme. So far 9 batches have passed out. The Department is academically strong with 11 staff members including 2 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors and 2 Ad-hoc faculty members. The Teaching Group focuses on all aspects of teaching practice and delivery,in particular, looking at cutting edge approaches, such as the creation and use of teaching material, and promoting good teaching across the department.
The Department has excellent state-of-art facilities which include Seminar Hall, Department Library and a dedicated Computer Lab with 42 nodes.The Department has in credit, three University ranks and our alumni are well employed in Multi National Companies like Infosys, UST Global, IBS, SunTech, Accenture, etc.
As a social commitment to the society the department is conducting On-the-Job- Training to VHSE students of nearby schools every year during the semester break. More than 300 plus-two students from various schools have made use of our OJT training facility.
Faculty members are given various opportunities to attend workshops, short term courses, seminars and conferences for updating knowledge, to cope up with the continuous changes and challenges in the field of Computer Science and its applications.
Apart from the academic curriculum, students are enriched with an assortment of trainings like mock interview, group discussions, aptitude test, technical interviews and soft skills for en routing their career. A study tour is conducted every year to facilitate students learn out of the box, with a good deal of exposure to industrial, cultural and technological trends.
Our students are given encouragement for participation in a variety of competitions including district and state youth festivals, university athletic meet, inter-college fest.
