Vision
“To be an aspirational TBI for the student entrepreneurs within the campus which could
strengthen the educational system, bridge the gap between industry and academia and
promote the national, economic and social growth.”
Mission
“To construct a self-sustained ecosystem with sufficient infrastructure and technological
advancements which could empower the interaction between student innovators and faculty
mentors, to promote collaboration with industries and academic institutions across the globe
and to create successful entrepreneurs”.
Objectives

3. To design and develop innovative products of social relevance.
4. To facilitate start-up initiatives from students and faculties.

RECENT ACTIVITIES
1. Product Development Initiative 2021 (flagship initiative of the LMCST IEDC which aims
to encourage innovative thinking and collect maximum number of problem statements. The
projects are reviewed by an expert panel constituted by the IEDC and viable projects are
provided support for incubation. Around 34 products and project ideas have been reviewed
by the LMCST IEDC expert panel in the 2021 edition and action plans send back to the
respective teams for follow up.
2. Faculty Development Programme on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem
Development” on 7-04-2021 from 10.am to 3.30 pm. The session was handled by Shri.
Sherin Sam Jose. (Head, Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Department ,CEO,
Startup Valley TBI, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally).
3. Orientation program on " Planning an Entrepreneurial Life" on Saturday , 28 August 2021
at 3:30 PM for S2 BTech and MCA batches. The session was handled by Dr. Arun Surendran
( Founder Director ,Adcy.io Cyber Security Solutions & Strategic Director and Principal ,
Trinity College of Engineering Trivandrum)
4. Orientation program on " Role of IEDC in Innovation and Nurturing Excellence." on
Saturday , 2nd October 2021 at 10am for S4 BTech and MCA batches. The session was
handled by Dr. Manoj M (Nodal officer for Entrepreneurship Development at Marian
Engineering College).
5. IEDC LMC in association with KVIC ( Khadi and Village Industries Commission , Ministry of
MS&ME , Govt of India) organised an awareness program for Final and Pre-final year
students to promote Entrepreneurship and inculcate confidence in them to take up self-
employment ventures. The program was organised in the online mode on 26th Nov 2021
at 2:00 pm in the Google meet platform.
6. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Energy Efficient India
Institution Innovation Council ( IIC ) , Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology in
association with IEDC LMC , Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and
Energy Management Centre, Kerala is organised a webinar on Energy Conservation in
Residential Applications on 19th December 2021 at 4:00 pm on the Google meet platform
as part of National Energy Conservation Day Celebrations.
Other major developments
? LMCST has accepted the National Innovation and Startup Policy and the college is part of the
Institution Innovation Council 4.0 constituted by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India.
? LMCST IEDC have joined the Young innovators program by Kerala Development and
Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC)
? Member of Kerala Blockchain Academy
