The Central Computing Facility started functioning in 2009. This facility serves as the focal point of computing resources, which are shared by all the departments and College office. The working hours of this facility is from 8:40am to 3:40pm on all College working days. The Central Computing Facility has a total of 60 computers in a single lab interconnected via LAN. This facility is served by a 200 Mbps internet connection from RailWire. The CCF is equipped with an online UPS system which supports the uninterrupted power supply to the facility including the network. This enables the facility for a 24 x 7 internet connectivity and wireless facility when required. This facility also has printer and projector facilities when needed.
The Central Computing Facility of the College has more than 250 computers spanned across 8 computer labs and a server room within the campus. These labs are served by a combined total of 500 Mbps internet connectivity from BSNL and Railwire. All these computers are interconnected via LAN speed ranging from 100mbps to 1Gbps. The network connectivity is well managed by the use of optical fiber across building to building, and network racks in all major labs, server room and other hub locations. This campus wide network connectivity connects all the buildings including boys hostel and girls hostel. The facilities also include 7 servers, printers, scanners, LCD projectors, PA systems etc.
These facilities are extensively utilized for conducting online exams, IIT Bombay workshops, recruitment drives, seminars, FDP trainings, Online journal access like IEEE and ScienceDirect Publications etc. for the overall development of the staff and student community.
