Technology Business Incubator (TBI) – LMCST
The Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology (LMCST) serves as a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and startup founders. Established under the guidance of the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the incubator aims to transform innovative ideas into successful technology-driven enterprises.
The Government of Kerala, through KSUM, has been instrumental in building a thriving startup ecosystem by promoting innovation-led entrepreneurship and supporting individuals in converting their ideas into sustainable businesses. This initiative has enabled students, researchers, and young entrepreneurs to create impactful solutions while generating employment opportunities and contributing to economic growth.
Recognizing the growing potential of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, KSUM introduced the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) program in educational institutions across the state. Institutions demonstrating strong innovation performance and significant contributions to the startup ecosystem are further upgraded as Technology Business Incubators (TBIs), providing enhanced support for venture creation and startup growth.
At LMCST, the TBI provides an enabling environment where innovators can develop prototypes, validate business models, access mentorship, and connect with industry experts, investors, and startup networks. By leveraging the institution’s academic expertise, research capabilities, and infrastructure, the incubator supports the journey from concept to commercialization.
